LHS-TV Staff earns 4th place national recognition in Orlando, FL 2015

Three students from the Ladue View crew attended the National High School Journalism Convention in Orlando, FL November 11-15, 2015. Students took part in national broadcast journalism competitions, attended professional seminars on multimedia broadcast, print journalism, law and ethics, web design and more. Over 6,100 students and advisers from all over the country attended the convention.
The staff of Ladue View placed 4th in the nation for Broadcast News story of the year, as honored by the National Scholastic Press Association. This is the second year in a row that Broadcast Technology II students earned national recognition. To watch Ladue View's winning story click here. |
Ladue View Wins Multiple National Awards in Washington D.C. 2014

Three students from the Ladue View crew attended the National High School Journalism Convention in Washington D.C. November 6-9, 2014. Students took part in national broadcast journalism competitions, attended professional seminars on multimedia broadcast, print journalism, law and ethics, web design and more. Over 6,200 students and advisers from all over the country attended the convention.
Ladue View walked away with the highest honors the program has ever received.

Ladue View in Boston 2013

Five Ladue students traveled to Boston November 13 - 17 to take part in the National High School Journalism Convention, sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association. Students took part in onsite contests, professional training seminars, and networking opportunities throughout the weekend. Over 5,500 journalism students and advisers attended this conference in Boston.
The student-produced television show Ladue View, finished 8th in the nation for "Best of Show" at the 2013 JEA/NSPA (Journalism Education Association/National Scholastic Press Association).
Individual winners included a national honorable mention in the Broadcast News Package category for Sophomore Steele Stewart. Junior Lillian Donahue won our broadcast programs highest achievement ever, by earning a "Excellent" rating for her Public Service Announcement. Only two other students in the country received a higher rating this year.

Ladue View finishes 8th in the nation for NSPA 2013 "Best of Show"
LHS-TV & Films is proud to present the October 2013 edition of Ladue View (seen below) as our NSPA "Best in Show" contest entry. The show placed 8th in the nation for the National Scholastic Press Association's top broadcast program award,
A PSA inspired by the Megan Meier Foundation. Made to help stop the spread of cyberbullying. Follows the inner feelings of s person behind a screen. This video won the second highest ranking of "Excellence" at the National JEA Conference.
During the JEA/NSPA 2013 national convention in Boston, Massachusetts, Steele entered a Broadcast Package contest in which he was given four hours to find, shoot, and edit a story revolving around the theme of "morning rituals." This entry won an honorable mention award.
