Ladue DECA

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
Missouri DECA's services are an integral part of instruction that motivates students to increase their leadership and creative abilities, reinforce competencies developed in the curriculum and encourage a healthy competitive spirit. One of the most visible components of the student organization is the competitive events program. Students may participate in individual series events, marketing research projects, chapter team projects, leadership academies, and entrepreneurship projects.

Record 19 Ladue DECA students qualify for the international competition

Almost 2,000 DECA students from across the state of Missouri went to Kansas City for the past three days to compete in the areas of marketing, management, finance, and entrepreneurship. Ladue DECA students had a phenomenal three days and represented our school well!  

The following DECA students had outstanding performance sin the state competition, with a record 19 students qualify for the international competition which will be held from April 20-25th in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ladue DECA recently qualified a number of students for the Missouri State DECA competition at the Lake of the Ozarks in March. They also had one student, Kaycee Little, automatically qualify for the international DECA competition in Anaheim, California.

Ten Ladue students qualify for the international DECA competition in Nashville

Ladue's DECA students competed in the Missouri State DECA competition from March 13-15 in the Lake of the Ozarks.  TEN of those students qualified for the international DECA competition in Nashville, TN in April!

In addition to our international qualifiers, senior Semhar Mekonnen was awarded the Lester B. Kesterson Scholarship in the amount of $1000 for her contributions to DECA throughout high school and sophomore Kaycee Little was names a finalist in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism.

Ladue DECA had an outstanding day at our district competition yesterday.  With well over 400 entries in the competition, our students performed above and beyond my expectations.
