Kids Walking for Kids: 
Walking for a brighter future

Across the country, on February 6th, 2015, supporters of the American Heart Association broke out their red clothes for the 12th annual National Wear Red Day. However, the students and faculty inside Ladue High School wore red arm bands and "I donated" stickers for a different, yet just as relevant, cause: the annual Ladue Red Cross Blood Drive.


Anyone above 16 years of age was able to take a half hour of their day to donate blood to the American Red Cross. Fifty participants donated blood.

Their mission- CHADS saves lives by advancing the awareness and prevention of depression and suicide. 

Kids in Saint Louis are taking initiative to put an end to suicide with Kids Walking for Kids, an annual event interested in promoting this cause. The event was on May 10 at Creve Coeur Park and it was sponsored by Communities Healing Adolescent Depression and Suicide, or CHADS, which strives to advance the awareness and prevention of suicide and depression.

It's a pizza, it's a dinosaur, no it's a Pointersaurus

A local Pizza restaurant in Richmond Heights holds a contest everyday at 3 pm, for a chance for contestants to win a $500 prize. Pointer’s Pizza has a 28” pizza, called the Pointersaurus. Two people are given an hour to finish a two meat or a four vegetable pizza, beverages included.

Jogging for Jesus: 10th year anniversary

It's not every day that the congregation at Salem United Methodist gets to view dozens of youth running through their sanctuary then outside. On May 5th, thirty elementary school students did just that. These students got their daily cardio in by running in an annual fundraiser, Jogging for Jesus. The event was welcomed with a sunny day and generous donations for the 10th anniversary of Jogging for Jesus.
