Welcome, Everyone, and thank you so much for all you do!

Alarm clock sounds. You rub your eyes
And suddenly, you realize
It’s time to get yourself in gear.

The start of a successful year
Begins again, with each of you,
Who makes a difference in Ladue.

It matters not, which role you play –
But every student, every day,
Will see you as a stable force
Who might help set them on a course
To teach or clean or help or learn,
And strive, in life, for all they yearn.

They watch. They hear. They hope to be
As competent as those they see,
Who shine the light and lead the way
With every student, every day.

Some days are long. Some days are tough.
Some days, you feel you’ve had enough.
But something stops you in your place –
That spark of knowledge on a face,
That “thank you” you did not expect,
Appreciation, you detect –
For reaching out with things you say,
To every student, every day.

To each of you, I must impart
The gratitude within my heart,
For giving of yourselves this way,
To every student, every day.

Congratulations Ladue Track & Cross Country Head Coach Keith Harder

Keith Harder - Ladue Horton Watkins High School Varsity Coach
Hall of Fame Inductee 2014
Missouri Track & Cross Country Coaches Association

"It is very humbling to be mentioned along with all of the previous members who have been inducted into this great Hall.  These people are giants in the sport, and I can hardly imagine being mentioned in that class.  I think it represents the hard work the athletes have put forth, the energy through the years from the coaches, the support from the parents and administration, and just the pure fun it has been to have such a great career through the years.

When I came to Ladue, there was already a track and field history here to live up to.  The timing was right, and we have had some great kids come though.  As much as we could ever do for the kids, they do more than that for us (coaches).   As I reflect on it, it's been a great ride... and there is more great riding to come. "
